We have been using the Caretaker Trust accounting system for two and a half years and could not be happier with the system. During this time we have had to request help only once and that was due to my entering a transaction incorrectly with help given promptly and the instruction in terms that I could follow and did not need to be an IT graduate to understand.

As a recent first time residential unit manager, and a person somewhat lacking in computer literacy skills, I needed a simple and easy use to use software package. Caretaker has filled that need, I for one was quite daunted by the thought of doing my first month's reconciliation, especially as a solo operator.
I've just completed my third reconciliation today, admittedly I have consulted the previous manager and my Caretaker consultant on occasions for advice, but those phone calls are getting less frequent, as I'm becoming a lot more confident using the caretaker software.
I am constantly getting bombarded by other software companies asking if I would like to try their products, but I for one will be staying with Caretaker.

We are pleased to be able to make some comments as a satisfied user of the software, Caretaker. Until recently, we had management rights to a complex in Runcorn, which consisted of 74 units and for the 2 years we were there we used Caretaker quite successfully. Also during that time, we reviewed most other software packages for the industry. While, we appreciate that there are more sophisticated packages on the market, we believe that Caretaker offers great value for money. Additionally, Caretaker is a reasonably simple system and so, is relatively easy to master. It manages all month end activities easily and provides all the necessary information to enable effective tax reporting. We have found one of the most pleasing features of the software is that the activity that all managers perform on a daily basis, that is receipting rent, is easily done via the default screen. This significantly reduces the number of key strokes needed to perform this task. We are happy to recommend Caretaker to any managers and are also available to discuss this with anyone who may be interested.

Mount View Apartments is a new complex and we are first time unit managers using the "Caretaker" software which we have found to be very user friendly and uncomplicated with an up front fee and no ongoing fees.
